The Details

These clients have a growing family, so durability was very important to them. Kid-friendly finishes like wood-look tile floors, concrete countertops, Crypton fabrics and cleanable wall paint were used to meet the demands of their growing family. In the kitchen, reclaimed wood from an old tobacco factory was used to make the dining portion of the island. The concrete counters were made with shells from the family’s beachcombing adventures. The stair rail was given a nautical look by using boat cleats and rope instead of typical wooden pickets. The master suite was designed using family heirloom furniture that was refinished in a white gloss lacquer to give it a new fresh life. Custom bedding, upholstery, drapery, art and accessories bring it all together.
